Reverse light question.

My father noticed yesterday that my reverse lights and my break lights sometimes come on when i hit the breaks. any idea what is wrong? :confused:

Check and clean the ground wire at the end of the left frame rail. If it is coroded and not making a good connection then the current from one circuit will try to use the other circuit as a ground causing both to light up.

ground seems really clean. do you think i have a wiring problem? could it be a danger? I think i have seen cars with the same problem. anyone?

Looking at the wiring diagram the only thing those 2 circuits have in common it the ground. If cleaning the ground did not help I would replace all 6 bulbs (2 tail light, 2 front turn signal, 2 back-up lights). Many times the two elements of the bulbs touch togather with vibration and cause all kinds of weird problems. That is easy and inexpensive to do. Tail lights and turn signal will be 1157 bulbs, Back-up lights will be 1156 bulbs.

If that does not solve the problem you have a wiring problem. Change the bulbs first and let us know if it is cured. If not I can go over some wiring with you.
