Looking at my original pad, the one the speedo and tach fit into, the plastic backing has a couple cracks, and the vinyl, a couple small, but not really noticeable tears. it is reusable.
Are the Repops, probably made by Corvette America, like everything else I got for the car, an exact fit?
If they are easy fit, with not a bunch of fussing, i would probably just buy a new one.
Perfect fit, I would say no. I've seen lots of pictures from interiors with a new dash pad and they all seem to suffer from the lh upper corner not aligning flush with the upper. I removed all the brackets, thinned the plastic backing in a attempt to get it further to the firewall.

Hi Doug,
Many people report that even the better interior 'soft parts' are rarely as good as the original part.
So, often people try to restore and use what they have, or buy a very good used original piece and dye it to match the interior color.
I guess a new piece is the last choice. They tend to look very pretty sitting on the work bench, but often don't work out just right when installed.
So?
Regards,
Alan
Here's an example on an a-pillar trim pad.
The part looks very good until you turn it over and see the 'buckle' that's visible when the piece is installed. Plus the piece is too thick and thus doesn't fit snug against the windshield as the originals do.
I was told by the mfr. that this piece is acceptable cosmetically.
I've seen a a lot of repops and each person has commented on the issues with fitment. I am waiting to see what the new C3 complete dash is going to look like from Paul Atkins before I redo mine.
