Steve

The first guys to make the sliders for C3 LSX conversions were speed hound and vetteworks. CIC and Dirty Dingo have essentially duplicated their designs. The issue us not that the sliders are putting the motor in a different spot. Gordon has DD and I have CIC. We both have the exact same issue on the driver side. The collector hits the floor pan. This is not the case on the passenger side. That tells me that the location of the collectors (on both sides) in respect to the frame is not the same. Therefore I think we should look for other causes.

Here are a few other root causes to consider:
1) the original car you developed the headers on had a bent frame
2) both Gordon and I have bent frames in the exact same location
3). The design of the passenger and driver side do not have the same "locational" dimensions
4). The fabrication of the driver side was not to the design.

I'm not sure where to go from here. For me, I need a driver side header that has a different angle in the collector so that they don't hit the floorboard.

Update:

Headers are going back to ARH for dimensional fit check. We are also going to the slip fit connector. More to come in a few weeks.

Thanks to Phil & Steve for standing behind their product and doing what it takes to make them work.
