Have a chance a picking up a Corvette Central dual exhaust kit still "in the box" at a good price however it's listed as the one for a 80-81 car. Would this work on my '79? Not concerned about the cat.
Is there an exhaust system anybody could recommend then? I want to go with true duels.

Seriously, though, I have had a Corvette Central Exhaust system installed on my '80 'vette for about 6 years now, and I am still very happy with it. The only thing that you might consider a downside is that it comes with block-hugger headers.
They do, and if you call them directly you can get the performance exhaust system without having to buy the shorty headers with it. Saves a few bucks if you already have long tube headers. You end up ordering it by individual part numbers instead of the "kit" number.

I bought the Corvette Central Exhaust system for my 1973 coupe, as a three piece kit (Corvette Central muffler not the flow master muffler and two piece exhaust pipe). I also bought the tips, hanger, additional clamps, heat riser spacer, etc... all in the high performance 2 1/2" style system for a 4 speed. I love the system, if I had to do it over I'd buy from Corvette Central again. One piece of advice, I bought my system off the auction style web site (the starting letter is e... for a fixed price). I mention this because it came with free shipping (when I checked into ordering direct I would have had to pay shipping), all system numbers were exactly the same number and the overall system was ~$45 cheaper on the auction site. Overall I figure I saved another ~$100 buy purchasing this way. Great service and friendly customer service (I talked via auction site mail to be sure to get everything correct and all required parts, clamps, etc....). Lots of luck, Russ

Do you like theses mufflers?
Right now I've got just the stock hideaways, they are pretty tame. In the next couple of weeks, it's being replaced with the CC dual system without the cat. Should sound much better, I'll let you know.
