Hi, I'm going to need to get a couple high-flow cats to throw on my exhaust real soon now and I'd like to order some today to take advantage of the Summit deal. Anyone have any recommendations? I have dual 2.5" exhaust and would like to go dual-cats (not EXACTLY legal, but close enough).
thanks!

Now if I where you I would buy the converters put them on for testing and then take them off when I did some off roading with it. You have to decide what you def of 'off road' is. ;)
I use a high flow CatCo converter for emissions testing only. After the test I install a test pipe that I purchased off Ebay. Makes me wonder if Chevy had this in mind when they went with flanged joints at the catalytic.
I think in the interest of saving time/money/possible exhaust leaks I'm going to leave the high flow cats in there. I think with the dual 2.5s, I got enough flow for my relatively mild motor. So hopefully dual cats won't rob me of too much. Thanks for the suggestions guys.

Just bought a set of these. They are less than half the size of stock, and when held up to sunlight... I can see right through em. All stainless body, with aluminum heat shield. Good Stuff!!!! :yesnod: :yesnod: :yesnod:

Mountainmotor said it all. Just call them toll free, explain what you have, and the guy will fix you up. I got mine in 5 working days, cause they are located in California and I'm in Illinois. Good Luck....

OK, this will help get more exhaust out, but what are you doing to get more air in? I have a very stock 77 with the air pick up over the radiator. Are you just adding a K & W round filter to repalce the stock paper one or is anyone doing anything else? Am I better off removing the plastic pick up and just mounting an open filter on top of the carb?
I saw a test once of the Random cats. They were stuck right on the end of the collectors of a 600 HP Shotgun motor,,cost it 12 hp.Not really that much in my opinion especially with a 250-300 hp motor.Still need very good flowing mufflers though
