Default headlight vacuum hoses

quick question on 1972 headlight hose location
i have replaced all the vacuum hoses to the headlights with a new set, which they seem way to long
so, after the pass thru the cut out alongside the radatior, do they,

proceed under the headlight to the relays and tied to the support rods?
or
do they loop upward to the wiring harness and tied along it's path?

UPC12 A14 is not very clear on the route they take
the sheet shows the hoses and the wiring loom, but they are not tied together with the plastic ties.

any photo's ?

They loop up to the harness and follow it to the rear of the engine compartment passing over behind the brake booster/master cylinder to connect at all the diverse places that they go.

Hi au,
Perhaps these 71 pictures will help.
The supply and control hoses run along with the harness until they duck down to the relays. One supply hose for each relay, and a single control hose that runs to a 't' and then to the relays.
Note there are still 2 relays in 71. The horn blocks the left side relay in the picture.
The large hoses run from the relays to the actuators and are loosely held with a single tie on each pair.
Regards,
Alan

These pictures are taken from the radiator side of the relays and actuators.

AIM for 72 does make it look like they don't follow the electrical along the edge of the hood opening but doesn't show what they are strapped to. (Orientation and mounting of the relays changed in 72)

I have no idea what it should be, mine were probably bubbasized at some point and come up at the relays from the bottom.

Curious to see what turns up here.

thanks Alan, that first picture shows what i needed.
(you can call me alan as well)

my originals were 2 up and 2 under on a fairly stock un bubba'd engine bay

have tried routing them both ways, think it looks neater when going under.....
but trying to maintain some sort of stock appearance, so over it is
