Is there an alternate lower alternator bracket for the 1975 corvette. I think my car is setup with an aftermarket powersteering pump and there is no way to take the servicing cap off. The only way to service it, is to pull the bracket. Is there a factory alternate or maybe an aftermarket part to fix this issue? Thanks in advance.

Need a photo. I doubt it is the pump itself.
Usually it is P/S belt length that is wrong. Just worked on a 1974 where 1/2" longer made a lot of difference.
Loosen up the pump and remove the belt and then move the pump to the point where you can access the cap. Then get a belt that achieves this.
Dub is correct in 1/2" +/- will give you the correct angle to be able to get the cap off.
Had the same thing on my 75, will look in the garage tomorrow for what length i am using.
Put the pump where you want it and get that length belt.
Beware! the belt that you will end up with is a pain in the a$$ to install/remove, too close to the frame..
I have a 75 with the EXACT same problem. I did move both the steering pump and alternator the full lengths of their adjustment and still no go. Until I figure out a solution, I followed the advice of another forum member and made a dipstick out of clear tubing. I stick the tubing in the reservoir alongside the unscrewed cap. Removing the tubing with my finger on the tubing tells me if there is fluid in the reservoir. I add fluid if needed using a long flex funnel.

I might add a ROYAL PAIN!!! This is the ONE belt I hate replacing. Especially if I notice the pulley is not running true to the crankshaft pulley. The tool I made to allows me to apply tension to the pump itself without touching the reservoir...so I can get the tension right...then having to reach and tighten the nut to hold it in position....only to find I do not have the belt tight enough to my liking...then having to loosen it again and start all over...all the time having my veins in my head and neck about ready to "pop"....then I go under the car and tighten the 2 bolts to hold the pump as designed where it pivots...and then jumping up and getting "head-rush".
