79 Capacitor
I found this part laying in the floor of my 79 vette. Have no clue where it goes. Any help would be appreciated. Says it is Corvette Capacitor - Turn Signal Flasher.

Leave it out. I had lots of problems with my turn signals that all stopped when I took that out.

Might explain why I"m having problems...signal works but on the dash it always flashes like I'm turning right.
Thanks...

Removing that part will not correct your problem in the dash currently. It is something else.

That part was, and still is in my glove box from when I bought my car a few years ago. I always wondered what it was for. LOL

YEAH...and the "funny" thing about this part is that many Corvettes come into my shop with them still installed BUT...instead of using a flasher with a PLASTIC housing...like what KapsSA has shown...they installed an aluminum housing flasher and are wondering why things are going crazy.

I have an aluminum flasher and the capacitor in my glovebox, so I'm guessing I should get the correct plastic flasher and reinstall the capacitor?
anyone know the part number for the correct plastic flasher?
EDIT: looks like aluminum is correct for '81?
