Default A-Arm bushing replacement

I recently picked up a 1970 coupe and noticed the rubber bushings are cracked and weathered and the tie rods look like they are ready for replacement. The car still drives straight without any knocks or banging.

Any input on the energy suspension bushing kits or should I just go with Moog parts to keep it closer to stock? It is not a show car, but don't want to devalue it either.

For a car hat you intend to drive occasionally and enjoy I would recommend Moog stock replacements. If you ever decide to sell it I think that most potential owners would rather have a stock suspension as opposed to such modifications. If you are going to keep it for a long time then the decision is totally yours.

The stock stuff is good and lasts for years, that's the route I would take.

I went with MOOG for tie rod ends and ball joints, went with poly for the bushings. Had a alignment shop press out and install the bushing. Very happy with the way it turned out and the improvement to the steering is amazing.

Moog, I had to replace the standard bushings at 12K. Did the front and rear with rubber and a good alignment, now my 78SA drives straight. The handling is great.

Used cheap kit about 15 years and 15000 miles ago. Bushings shot and 1 ball joint gone as well as 2 tie rod ends. Did Moog ball joints and poly bushings this time. So far so good. Moog all the way if your staying stock.

Bought MOOG for all the front end parts but went POLY on A Arm bushings. Use is not the only enemy of rubber. Dry rot and frankly if you have to store the car in the cold ever....From all the forum posts poly seems the best material providing better handling and longevity. Most say no impact to ride quality.
