Removing dowel pins quick help please!
I'm trying to remove the dowel pins for the bell housing for my 427.
Engine is in car.
Can I not drive the dowel pins foward to the front of the car rather than towards the rear?
No room to swing a hammer on the front side.

Taking appropriate safety precautions, tightly clamp vise grips on the pin with enough space to get a big flat blade screw driver blade between the pliers and the bell housing. Pry up on the pliers with the screw driver. Push the screwdriver handle down, don't pull up.
