I hate to keep bringing this up, but I seem to have the worst luck when it comes to aftermarket product fit, unless I buy NOS or a GM used part to recondition myself. My latest issue is the fit of the steering column inner seal. I bought one that didn't fit, so bought again from a different supplier, and it was identically wrong. I suppose I could have just cut my own to fit, which won't sink in until the project is done! Anyway, are most of the suppliers getting product from the same source, or are there any that have their parts custom made to ensure fit/function? Or does it really just depend on the part?

The good Dr. is a little "rough around the edges"; but if you're an educated buyer, he's the way to go for a lot of the Corvette specific items I find. The fit and finish with his parts seems to be a lot better than the "big 3" in my experience.
Hi,
Dr. R is a very good source for soft parts and other odd small parts that other vendors don't have. Everything isn't always just perfect, but he's certainly worth a try.
I agree that the Dr. himself can be quite prickly! I find that his wife, however, is usually very pleasant.
Regards,
Alan
