'71 should have them. All cars were required to have shoulder belts as of 1 Jan 68. Bet someone just took them out and now the mounting holes are covered with carpet. Not difficult to put them in, but they are a little pricey to get replacements through the vendors. My $.02
I really like the original routing through the seat back. I get really annoyed with the ones that some cars have that go across you neck. I also like the original design with seprate shoulder belts. They are easy to staighten out compared to the one piece one.
Shoulder belts were an option in 1970 Convertibles. Coupes came stock with shoulder belts. According to the black book, shoulder belts were an option on all of the shark convertibles (through 1975). In 1970 the mounting plates are in all convertibles. To put in factory belts you'll need to modify the seat with the cutouts for the belt pass through. Or for a cheaper solution the seatbelts from a REAR late model camaro are a direct bolt in. The key is to make sure that the orientation of the inertial locking mechanism in your car is the same as the camaro. On my '70 the bolt for the seatbelt in the rear storage is on one of the wheel humps and the bolt goes straight down (just above the frame behind the wheel). I've posted photos of my setup several times to the C3 board - check the archives. ~Juliet
ROGER THAT! Mine came without them! 3 ways to tell are 1) rear holes plugged. 2) Seat trim has no provision for them. 3) visable halfmoon scratches on your lapbelt crome where the shoulder belt rides! MY 2 Cents! :)
