Battery and choke light

Default Battery and choke light
Nice day so I took the 81 for a ride. Pulled in garage and battery and choke light came on and battery guage shows 12 volt where it usually shows around 14. What do you think? alternater or regulator etc. !!!!!!

I have an 80' and had the EXACT same symptoms. Changed the alternator and that fixed it.

I always still wonder why the choke light came on...just cause the battery wasn't being properly charged, has to do with the computer I'm sure...

will put new alternater on tomorrow and give some feedback. Ya, that choke light has me wondering too. gonna google it and see what results I get.
