Carpet installation
I have a 75 coupe Installing new carpet into my new purchase. Someone did a hack job on the last carpet install. The floor carpet does it lay over the seat belt covers or is the carpet cut around the opening and the cover holds the carpet in place?

On my (81), all I had to do was cut a small hole in the carpet for the BOLTS that secure the seat belts to the floor. They're not really in the floor, the inners are actually on the trans tunnel.
Here is a pic, you can see the seat belt bolt sticking out above and to the right of the scissors.
