With A/C in the C3 if it is going to get costly think over changing it all out to a Vintage Air system and replace the entire thing with modern servo controlled WORKING system that blows cold and hard. Vintage Air not made for the 77 but it is just because of not having linear actuators like earlier cars. Can easily substitute 3 round pots in place of your A/C panel in later cars. If the system is half torn out go with this.

I put a Vintage Air system into my 77. It is a bit more complex than minitech stated above, but doable. I have done a write-up on my install. If interested, do a search on my name.

looks like i have all i need for ac system except the vir eliminator and a bracket to hold it in place
i already repaired the vacume controls for vents and it all works well with heater.
is crimping the lines a delicate procedure? guess i might need a special tool for it?
this product look right?

That should work.
If you are going to use 134a in the system, it must be cleaned out and the non-compatible R12 oil removed. The system will also work better with 134a with a parallel flow condenser. R134a also requires new compatible O-rings and new barrier hose. Finally, the replacement R4 compressor that GM introduced on 77's has not worked well over the long run for me - I finally went with the Sanden 508.
With all of the above, you now know why I bit the bullet and went with a brand new Vintage Air. It really didn't cost that much more.
