Default Carburetor Throttle Linkage Help!

Help! I recently purchased an Edelbrock 600 CFM carburetor for my 1978 silver anoxic ersatz corvette. I installed it just fine but now I'm having trouble figuring out the throttle linkage. I snapped this photo with three labels numbered 1, 2, and 3. I can't figure out how to connect the linkage. Do I need to purchase a kit of some sort, and if so what kind? Also, can you help me determine what each one of those labeled linkages are? Please don't be a jerk, I'm learning as I'm going, by no means am I mechanic. Thanks in advance. God bless

1- Cruise Control
2- Accelerator Pedal
3- Transmission Control

I'm guessing you will need to purchase some sort of bracketry for your new carb to accommodate the factory hook-ups.

Did you buy it new? I thought the Edelbrock carbs came with a little "goody-bag" with all the throttle linkage stuff you would need for a GM application.

Nice Carb.

Go to this Edelbrock link and shift through their adapters. Go Shopping!

http://www.edelbrock.com/automotive/.../general.shtml

Looks like You will need Edelbrock's GM Transmission Cable adapter. P/N 8026. The photo below.

I also saw a Cruise Control adapter. (8030, 8036). Not sure which best fits your carb.

So...they have an adapter for the Trans and the Cruise. The spot left is where you put on the throttle.

Maybe best to familiarize yourself with their adapters on the link, then call them to ensure you get the correct ones. To ensure you can return any that may not fit. Their Tech Number is below.

Edelbrock, LLC Tech Department
2700 California Street, Torrance, CA 90503

Tech Line Hours:

Cheers

PS: I glad I beat Allan & WillCox this time

I would give them a call, they are very helpful. I was just on the phone with them yesterday. I just bought a 650 AVR and I had questions about the kickdown cable adapter. He said all I would need is a 8018 Kickdown Stud. This is for a TH350 trans so let them know what you have.

Note - do NOT call the 'tech line' number that is listed on the website. I tried it several times and NO ONE PICKED UP!!. Just call the main number and go through the (annoying) menus till you get to carb tech.

Kick down cable #3 always attaches to the bottom of the linkage. As you increase the throttle it should start pulling the cable at 1/3 pedal travel.

Call the help line at summit or edelbrock. The can give you the web sites that have the pics and parts.
