aloha..im a c3 guy and have next to no knowledge on c2's..there is a 1960 conv. hardtop for sale in my area for 18k but the owner will let it go for 12k ..it has a 4 speed non # 327..good frame,new paint and tires..suspensoin was changed from another chevy vehicle..the chrome is said to be good and the interior redone..rear windows and some chrome missing but mostly complete..the owner traded it 5 years ago cor a c3 and has been slowely working on in since with very min. driving..now that he's lost intrest it up for sale..he said the exhasut in good and the brakes need bleeding cause its been sitting for a few years..he did drive it around the block the other day and says it drives and shifts good..now any input what-so -ever will be apriciated greatly..is this a good price for a non matchin 4 speed 60..im i in over my head or are parts still easy to find..i rebuilt my $2000,1980L-82 into a beatifull driver from the dead..is the work compadible to this older vette? anything i need to know about this year vette? thanx all for any feedbac i will get i put this in the other section but thought some guru's over here might have a word or two to add..this will be a weekend driver and maybe a little juice will be added to dragstrip it once in a while :jester
Verify there's little or no rust problems or a bent frame and then buy that car!!!!
Sounds like a great project car at a good price. Keep in mind though, if someone else is giving up, then it's probably still got quite a bit left to do, you may want to quantify what left on paper before you offer $$$.
