The gauges in my car work but are not accurate. Tested the water temp gauge and it says its running hotter than it is. I want to get gauges to accurately show what is going on with my car. Any suggestions for replacement gauges that are accurate that I can put in my car without having to do a ton of modifications. Or gauges that I can mount outside of the instrument panel maybe?
Thanks for any suggestions, you all are always my best resource for options!
How far off are your gauges? And how did you check them? Different areas of the motor will give you different temps and different gauges will give a different reading but as long as you're within that 5-10 degree range, you're good.
Autowiz, was mentioning auto meter gauges can fit behind the panel but it's major work and re wiring just for a few degrees of accuracy IMO.
WOW Deep pockets indeed. I just don't want to sink that much into just gauges when there are so many other things that need to be done! Thanks for the suggestion though, I will add to my extended wish list!
If they come with new pieces around the gauge clusters that would help take some of the sticker shock, assuming you need those and they used quality pieces.
