Hey all! It's been a busy first week with the Vette. I fixed the brake light issue, ordered the weather stripping kit (back ordered) and replaced all the carpet. Next week the car is going into High Speed Performance in Mokena IL. to get the carb work done as well as new exhaust. The guy at High Speed Performance comes highly recommended as the best carb guy around. They do a lot of work on performance and race cars so I figured I'll take it there. This week I ordered a set of full length Hooker Headers and now I'm trying to decide on what mufflers to go with. Thinking of the Flowmaster Delta 40's. Anyone used or heard these? Any other recommendations? I'm eliminating the smog and computer as well as the cats. The shop is going to check the compression, tune the carb, and dyno it. It'll be interesting to see what this car is putting out performance wise. I know it's had work done by the previous owner, I've been told Cam, bored out and pistons, I'll know more when I get the original paperwork next week.
Again any suggestions as to the exhaust are welcome. Anyone else in the south burbs of chicago?
