Default factory alarm

Hey everyone. While replacing the carpet this week I discovered an alarm under the factory stereo. It's an ungo box 3200. I have no remote for this or anything else. Is there a problem removing this alarm? Can I just clip the wires and pull the box or do I trace the wire s back and try to remove them from where they were spliced in to begin with? Thanks for the help!

Speaking as someone who someday may end up owning your car (I'm not), trace the wires back and remove all traces.

That said...You may want to look for a wiring diagram for that unit.
Some of those had an ignition disconnect in them and if you "just cut it out" you may disable your car by accident.

Or it may be just an alarm and no harm done.

Thanks. I was thinking the best thing to do might be to just trade all the writes back and remove them one by one. PITA. Maybe I'll do it this winter when I take it the dash to replace it... Figured there's got to be other people who have come across the same thing
