There's a handful on here, including me.
It's a direct swap for a Muncie. Problem now is availability with Richmond Gear changing hands. Do a search here.
Mods needed:
Add a 67 hurst shifter handle to look like the stock Muncie.
A th400 yoke (if your current trans has a th350 output yoke)
A low profile rubber trans mount or modified crossmember.
You'll also probably want to check your driveline/diff angles.

I already have a Hurst shifter so I assume that's ok.
What's the thing with the crossmember mount and drive line angles ? Which mount to use ?
Personally I was looking into the 6 speed because the 2-4th gear ratio's are similar to the Muncie M21/M22. First i pretty much useless with my 4.11 rear.
The muncie is mounted on a "tongue" that extendes off the front of the crossmember. The Richmond pretty much sits on the crossmember but will be about 1/2" too high. I made a rubber trans mount that was 1/2" lower profile than stock. But others have modified their crossmember.
Pretty much any trans swap should check their driveline angles to prevent vibration. That's especially true with the driveshaft speed with a 4.11 rear.

Out of rubber and steel. This includes a new shortened "tongue" since I moved the engine forward 1" with my 6.0 LS swap. You wont need that.
Assembled and blown apart. Rubber is from Autozone coil spring spacers cut to fit.
I was looking over on Summit and the Richmond 7071626AA look ideal from the ratio's, but their site says it's for the C4... does this fit a C3 as well ? What about the shifte location ?
The trans seems to have a tail length of 7.570 but there are also others of 9.500, bit confusing.
The C4 trans wont fit easily. The shifter location is wrong and tail set up for a torque arm.
You can get the ratios you want, around 2.6 1st, and 0.6 OD in their standard GM version. Should work well with your 4.11.
That's when and IF Richmond starts production again.
Btw, don't believe Summit, Jegs, Pace, Sdpats, etc delivery date unless they have one on the shelf.

Did that come directly from Richmond?
Last email I got from them, they indicated they were retooling.
BTW, did you check on their 5 speed OD trans? If they offer that again, it's the same dimensions as the 6 speed.

Guess I'll be running my M22 for a loooong time to come.

No it came from Summit.
I need the 2-5 gears to be roughly the same as the M22 ones. Not sure about the 5 speed, but usually they have different ratio's.
I pulled a Richmond 6 speed OD transmission out of a 32 Ford Coupe show car with 3461 miles on it. Bought it that way. I am putting in a T400. I'm selling the transmission, shifter, bell housing, clutch, pressure plate, flywheel...plus. This is a complete setup with the hydraulic clutch. Contact me and I will send you pictures and any additional info.
