I tried EVERYTHING? WD-40, lithium grease, etc. After I totally struggled through 4 wires, DISH SOAP was the ticket
After that, it was EASY! !!!
Also, you will need a crimping tool. Don't try to cheap out and use pliers. Get the correct tool and you'll get professional results.
That really looks great, very tidy for sure. Put one of those caps on mine last week, went with the ole zip-tie method for the wiring. What a difference.
I just made a set of 8mm wires using spit to push the wire through the boot and cheap $19 wire crimpers with great results. Focus and understand what you are doing in the process and it will go well for you. Be sure you have the boot on before crimping the terminal end. A little more spit and the terminal end will pull back into the boot. Most parts suppliers have different color wire separators on their shelf.
