Default This wire goes to?

1969 car. I have a 12 gauge, red with white stripe wire that I do not know where it goes. It has a flat blade connector on the end. It comes from the wiper limit switch and ends up very near the wiper motor. It must plug in somewhere close to the wiper motor because the wire is very short. Wiring diagram is not very clear as to the junction. Any help is appreciated!!!!

Probably different but my wiper motor has a single red wire coming out of the right side that goes to a connector that goes through the wiper door switch. That said, the switch has a 2 prong connector that leads in and out of the switch, sounds like your setup is different.

It is for your wiper motor as previously mentioned by Mooser.

1969 to 1972 wiper motors are specific.

Ok, if the 69 is the same, there is the single red with white stripe connection here
[IMG][/IMG]

The other side of the door switch goes over to the supply (in the harness)

On mine, there is a connector for the switch that has both in/out, (you can see it in the back here)

after that it splits and goes into the harness and to the motor

Thanks guys for the help, but I still can't find the connection. Of course the wiper motor does not run either. My wiper motor looks a little different from the one pictured. The wire I am referring to is coming from that round plug coming out of the limit switch and ends with that flat type connector on the end very near the wiper motor. It also looks like this connector is possibly the male side of a connection that may have a female type that goes somewhere (fuze block?) else. If so, that female plug and wire are missing. There is currently a 2 prong and a 3 prone plug and a ground wire hooked to the wiper motor/pump. Any other ideas?

There are separate 3 and 2 wire connectors to the motor and washer as well as that red wire and the ground.
That red wire should be the main power to the motor.
Wilcox has some video's on checking the wiper on the 69, perhaps they could help

Thanks Mooser. I will check out those videos. Since it seems like this red/w/white stripe wire is the main power wire, this is most like why the darn thing doesn't work!!!! Thanks again.

OK. Checked out the Wilcox info. Seems like there should be a red wire with white stripe coming out of the wiper motor somewhere. This would plug into the connection that I have coming from the limit switch. I will take off the wiper motor if that's what it takes to find the red power wire.

wiper motor is off. No red wire coming out anywhere from the motor nor is there any place to plug in the red wire I do have. Back to square one. I have power at the dash switch and at the 3 prong connector. Any ideas?

The only Red #12 wire I can see that has to do with the wiper motor goes to this connector (circled in yellow)

This is a '68 but I'm almost positive that this connector is the same on a '69.

I can check my brothers '69 in a couple days if needed.

You need to get the correct motor...if you are wanting to have it work correctly with the limit switch for your wiper door.

The motor you have will work...assuming it works...but you will have to leave the red wire free and disconnected.

1968 Wiper motors are in a world all themselves...and in 1969...the wiper wiring changed and additional parts were added.

Dub,
So u are saying I have the wrong motor? It's not a problem buying the right one if that's what's needed. I'm just asking what made u decide that?
