Check cable going into trannie. Be sure connection is still screwed in place, it hasn't backed out
Could be plastic gear s, at housing usual inspection, if good , see if turning cable moves the speedo needle.
If not...something is wrong internal at speedo unit itself.

does odometer work and speedo not? if so then prob is in your speedometer.
else have a helper eyeball your speedo while you disconnect your cable at the tranny and spin the cable by hand or with a drill. if speedo moves then you probably have a stripped plastic gear in the tranny case. they are easy to replace and are only about 8$.
