A/C inlet screen
There is a replaceable screen, part number 5914631 or 15-512, that goes somewhere on the inlet side of the expansion valve (?). I have the A/C system apart since I had the engine rebuilt and will be putting it back together sometime soon after I am sure that the new engine is operating properly. Where exactly is this screen? I have the 1953-1982 Corvette parts catalog and it is not illustrated although there is a screen listed in the parts section under another number. All of the hoses are disconnected and off the car now so now is the time to replace any of these parts while new hoses are being made. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I know it won't wear out but it could get clogged. The service manual indicates that whenever that part of the system is opened it should be checked. I don't know where it is to even look at it. All I know is that it is on the inlet side upstream from the drier.
