All the lights in the car worked fine until a battery drain. Now all the instrument lights are out as well as the floor board lights, shift indicator light and courtesy light. I checked the connections on the back of each door switch, they are ok. I checked the fuse, its fine. I'm not sure how to check the headlight switch but the switch does still activate the headlights.
Any ideas where to start?
VERIFY that the white wire on your floor board light is grounded WHEN the door is open. IF it is not..then it can be your jamb switches. OR...your timer controller is bad...which is a small orange box (usually) behind your glove box liner...by the door hinges.
As for the instrument lights...when the headlight switch is pulled...on your fuse panel is a 7.5 amp fuse (if my memory serves me correctly) for the INST LMPS. VERIFY that it is getting 12 volts or battery voltage when you pull the headlight switch. IF the fuse is not getting 12 volts...then the headlight switch may be bad ...and also remember to turn the **** to make sure the lights are at their brightest.
