missing cable to heater control
I'm in the middle of rebuilding the interior of my 350 manual '69. When I came to refit the centre console I found two cables for the vents - that's the ones with the loop of wire at the end - but only one for the heater control. Surely there must be one for each thumb wheel but search as I might I couldn't find another one. The one that's there turns a spindle up at the heater box. Is there only one heater cable with the curly end and if so which side does it go one? Does it go round a vertical post at the bottom of the unit?
Thanks, Barry.
There's only one cable for the heater control.
The right side 'wheel' control the temperature of the air being supplied … hot or cold. The cable opens and closes a door in the heater box by attaching to a lever on the top of the box.
The left side wheel controls vacuum operated functions.
