Annoying light

I have a 1973 Corvette Stingray. When I turn my lights on my Fasten Seat Belts light comes on. How do I shut it off?

I sounds as if you have the seat belt light and headlight connections backwards in the dash.

Fasten your seat belt?

Are you saying that when you switch the headlights on, the seat belt light comes on, even if the seat belt is fastened? Does it work properly with the headlights off?

Bubba has farqued up some of the wiring.

Your bulb plugs are mixed up behind the bezel.
You have a normal back light bulb in the housing where the seat belt bulb should be.
If it is dark in your car with the lights off you may see one gauge with a back light until you turn the seat belt light off.
