73 hood prop
Does anyone have a pic of the hood prop and how it is installed. I just can't figure out why mine is going thru the channel other than someone put it on wrong and I'd just want to fix it. Tks.

tks for the help and pics. hwcoop where your brackket holding your wires, mine is directly under the bolt thru the fiberglass. I guess what I'm saying is your's looks to be about an inch or so back. I can't see where i could bolt my bracket there.

The bolt in the gutter is secondary to the 2 bolts that go through the prop's lower brace into the metal support in the fender well for the hood hinge, radiator core support, and the hood prop.
Here are some pictures from both sides.

The upper 2 bolts are from the hood hinge and the 2 coming from the side are from the hood prop.
The bolt in the gutter is secondary to the 2 bolts that go through the prop's lower brace into the metal support in the fender well for the hood hinge, radiator core support, and the hood prop.

But I do believe they changed the design slightly sometime in mid 73 and the bolts on the side went to a single bolt and maybe slotted?
The bolt in the trough was the same though
But I'm frequently wrong so maybe not, 72 looks like Alan's pic. Early 73 should be the same also
