rear shocks hanging question
Can you ruin the rear shocks if you jack up your car and remove the wheels. Then leave the hubs hanging for an extended time?
In a sense hyper extending them for a long period of time?

It shouldn't hurt the shocks....unless you actually DROP the rear suspension for some reason. Just raising the rear till the tires are free shouldn't cause any problems.
But, if the wheels are hanging, you don't want to be turning/rolling the tires around. The U-joints will be put in a bind.

If the extended shocks are the correct length, they will allow the rear wheels to turn without binding the Ujoints. Many shocks seem to be too long, and allow the suspension to overtravel. I recall that 14" C to C is the max safe length.
