ignition switch help.
After a six month lay up I went to start my 70 up and as soon as I connected the battery up the key warning buzzer went off non stop with no key in the ignition. Put the key in the ignition and it had no effect but the door ajar switch would silence the buzzer. The car would not turn over either. Tried turning key back and forth but the buzzer switch seems stuck closed. Then to make things interesting the key actuator(wing nut) lever fell out due to a broken tab on it. Not sure how many problems I have at this point. Any ideas on what to look for. I'm not sure why a buzzer switch would prevent the car from turning over unless the battery is no good. It has been charged and appears to be ok. Any help would be appreciated since this car had no issues last summer.

Are you sure the battery isnt dead, have you checked it with a voltmeter?
If an automatic the neutral safety switch could prevent it from starting.
If a manual the clutch switch could prevent it from starting.
