I always keep a fire extinguisher handy in the garage. I keep it near the lift. The other day, I lowered the car and all of a sudden I hear this load swoosh sound and I don't know where it's from. Turns out the lift came down right on the extinguishers handle. By the time I figured it out and raised the lift the bottle was empty. Made some mess in the garage. Lucky the extinguisher faced away from the car.
I've owned 6. I haven't been without one since 1982. I've probably driven maybe 12 different ones over that time. 4 bangers, V6, V8, and boxer 12.
Its much more interesting than front engine. But a lot today depends on the sound insulation that basically kills everything so they have to pipe it in today. Completely phony. So its hard to tell what this one will be like.
But its much different than front engine I would say, much more enjoyable.

For those comments about Fiero's, keep in mind it depends on what year you were driving. Only the 1988's had the upgraded suspension. The 1984-87 models had suspension parts cobbled off other GM cars. The 88's had much superior handling capabilities! Pontiac spent $30M upgrading the 1988 suspension and other parts (about $1,300 per car) only to have GM deep six the car in March of 1988. More hp was on the way for the proposed 2nd gen Fiero.
I have driven an 88 GT for 31 years. Cornering, handling and awd-like launch capabilities are what will improve with the change to ME.
Hypothetically speaking: if sodium bicarbonate from a fire extinguisher were to make its way into an intake manifold, could it score the cylinder wall and damage the valve train? Suppose it wasn't a particularly large amount and as much as possible was vacuumed/cleaned out of said manifold. Would the best course of action be to remove the heads?
dude you are talking about a damn engine. It’s not gonna hurt it it will just push that **** out the exhaust and or burn it up. The only way I could imagine it hurting is if you were sitting there spraying it in the intake as it was running for like a minute straight
