The first pics is my headlamp switch. The second is a pic from the Ecklers wesite. The new switch does not have the shaft used to pull the lights on. Looking at mine I can't see how to remove the old one for reuse. Can someone enlighten me?
Re: Quick question about Headlamp Switch (dennisr)
Pull the shaft to the "on" position. then push in the button (eckler picture right side, just to the left of the small white rectangul) and pull the shaft the rest of the way out.
Re: Quick question about Headlamp Switch (Pete79L82)
Oh, ya...now when I see it I remember it from years ago.
Brings up another question, tho. When you push the button to pull the shaft out, do you need to push the button again to re-insert the shaft? And does the whole unit get replaced when the vacuum part looses suction ? I am hoping the problem is the cheaper over-ride switch.
After re-reading this, sounds porno...
