Hi guys, I have a 1975 c3 corvette, manual gearbox.
The entire mechanical are original, the problem is last year, I got this sound when I remove my leg from the clutch the clutch start to make noise. I'm 80% sure that I need to change the clutch.!
However, now because I’m changing the clutch, I want to make an upgrade so I want to know what name brand or type of aftermarket performance clutch that I can use with my car "and what not to use "
Now I know that most people will say why you don't keep it original mechanics. Will I’m planning now to upgrade the car, I just got long tube headers for it, and I’m planning to get vortec heads. , and maybe more
As for your "upgrades". Keep in mind that adding "this and that" bolt on parts ...in the attempt to drastically increase the horsepower and torque...the original internal parts may not be up to the task...and be reliable.
Most do say stock is enough. I choose a Hays based on my experience from years ago but, I'm not impressed I hope it performs better than it looks. In hindsight I would go with SPEC check out the website. I wish I did.

That true, but it won’t be an all day drive, and I’m not planning to use it on track. It will be in the garage for 80% of it life. I just want it to be like a show car, or a 1 day in the weekend drive. This is what I have in mind for now. For that reason I’m looking for a nice performance clutch
Your clutch is probably fine. It's the throw-out bearing that's making the noise. Easy fix.
That’s maybe, but in order to fix that, they need to remove the old one. And it will cost the same job as changing the clutch. However, I’m planning to upgrade the car performance anyway and I want to know what type of clutch that fit my car and act better original one

are you talking about this on click on the link. i found one on ebay!

From what I've read, the factory 11" clutches are good to about 425 flywheel torque.
If you're still running 15" street tires, odds are you'll be fine as they'll give before the clutch does. Stickier stuff, go with a beefier clutch.
I just ordered a Centerforce dual friction 11". Tech told me it was good for 580 flywheel torque. My new motor should exceed the capacity of the stock clutch by about 20%, so I proactively stepped up. Unfortunately, the car won't be back on the road for at least a month most likely.
I just installed a RAM HDX kit-semi metallic clutch disc with my new motor on the recommendation of the engine builder who reports he has good luck with them. Best I can tell without the engine running is the feel is about the same as my OEM clutch which was the original with the OEM pressure plate.
Just installed a Dual Friction from Centerforce in my other car--super grip, but a needs a ton of leg--my previous clutch (which I would not recommend because it broke) was a ZOOM HP...great pedal feel, but wore completely out (and the throwout bearing exploded apart) in just a few hundred miles--and no, I don't beat on it. That also, could have been my fault, though, for a bad adjustment...
this is what i run, I've run the center force in several vehicles, and every time i had the trans out the weights are always over to one side... always caused vibration into eny engine i have used them in... about 5... switched them out... way smother rev... jmho... anyway, you will only need one like this if your shooting 500hp plus, effortless peddle, much much smaller rotating mass, less weight.... the best.
