Not a big secret, I've had to remove to tighten the lock assembly.

I understand how to remove the lock but after replacing my dash, glove box door and latch I can't get it to catch and stay closed. I've tried lowering the catch bar with washers, and even reversing it which doesnt work. Anybody experience this issue or have a solution?
