The 68-74 rings used in production were all the same.
They had one of the clips at the valve stem hole, a distinctive clip, and a distinctive 'band' that the clips were attached to.
The 'over the counter' or 'service' rings, even of that era, had the clips turned 45 degrees.
The 75 to 82 production rings had the clip at the stem hole but had a different style clip and a different shaped band that the clips attached to.
Once installed it's difficult to tell the difference except to someone knowledgeable about the rings and looking for 'original' rings used in production.
