Which starter nose?
Hello,
The starter nose on my 68, 327 auto, 300hp engine with A/C is steel. The number on the starter is 1100338 8 C 27. Should it have an aluminum or steel nose? I'm thinking that it should be aluminum because it's an automatic.

Thanks Alan. I'm going to check with a local starter/alternator re-builder to see if he has a replacement nose. They have been in business for about 55 years in the same location and should have some old parts.
