Once upon a time there was a C3 restored frame sitting on the floor and the C3 body sitting in the middle of the shop on a scaffold and they sat there for years and years until today.
Today I bought the suspension, brake and steering kit from VPB and soon, the C3 will be sitting on the floor, only with tires holding it up and not stands.
Of course, I had to get divorced two times from non-believers and it took time to save up the cash, but it all came together today with my first purchase.
So, off with the stock front suspension and soon, on with the new.
It is a 1969 basic Corvette, no frills not even AC.
I hope to be able to convert it from a T400 to a Tremec 5 speed and an LS3 combo.
Next week I will travel back down to VPB and pick up the parts I just bought.
I have read the forums on others builds and now have a good idea of what I want in the end.
Oh no on the next wife and you bet on the vintage air!
Seriously ! If it doesnt work the second time, best to stay single. I figure if my second marriage doesnt work, either I suck at picking them, or I am not cut out for marriage.
Just get the vette done and date, you will be much happier.

RELAXXXXX.....old Jewish proverb: "If you marry, you will have trouble in this life". (But) "It is better to marry than to burn!".
Notice....the prophet didn't blame it on the woman....even though they are "wired" in an unusual way.
And they (nay-sayers) have the nerve to say the Bible is a mythological book.........
(Think about it...marriage is one notch above Hell.....you just can't make this stuff up!)
Now........................where were we..........................

I liked being married, but it is easier being me, by myself with a good girlfriend. Im too old to want to do that again and Im not worried about being burned (anymore)!
Now, onto the Vette.
I want to duplicate what so many have done to theirs. I love the LS3. I want the 5 speed too. I just put 500 miles on a pro street 1940 ford with an LS1 and it had more power than I could have possible imagined.
The body will need a lot of work. There is some rust. Everything is restore-able, even where I cant see the rust. So, the body is on the back burner for now and Im going to build a good chassis. The parts are enroute. :-)
Im considering powder coating the frame too. Ill have it all stripped back down soon and that will be the time to do it. I have no idea what that will cost or if it is even worth it. It probably is.
I did have a moment where I had a doubt if I could do this. It was a bad moment and only one moment. There is so much help available and so many have you have already done it.

Im leaning on this forum a lot. :-)
I had a project a few years back that needed a great deal of work, when I looked at the project as a whole I would get overwhelmed but when I looked at just one part and told myself to just concentrate on that then I felt I could move forward and calmed myself, much more productive that way
