The rear end on my 1979 Corvette has been sagging to the side since I bought it, and the suspension does not have much spring to it when I push down on the car, so I think it's time for a new spring.
I've seen that some vendors sell a 9 leaf spring (correct for 1979) for about $150, and others for around $300. The difference was explained a little when I noticed that Willcox and Zip sell both, with the more expensive one being made in the USA. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with the two different springs and could tell me if it's worth getting the US made spring. Thanks in advance!
I had a 7 leaf gymkhana spring from the factory and switched to a VBP 360 mono spring in 1986-OMG it rode soooo much better than the 292lb steel spring and handles great. Still have it on the car today-fantastic. Bilsteins all around.
