Instrument lights NOT bright enough
I replaced the bulbs and the guges are in good shape So I turn off the lights off in the garage and check the instrument light brightness but its not to Bright. The only thing left is the blue painting on bulb housing I belive that if faded after 40 years and does not reflect well so can anyone help me get this blue paint thanks John

The more likely cause of dim dash lights is either a headlamp switch with corroded terminals (adding resistance to the circuit) and/or poor grounding lines. Measure the voltage at one of the bulb sockets (when the others are lit) when the switch rheostat is at FULL ON setting. If the voltage measures significantly less than 12 volts, there's your problem.
