New Drive line
I'm thinking of replacing my motor, trans and ring and pinion. I want the fastburn ZZ4 (385 HP) with the hot cam and a Demon Carb, a th-2004r trans that's been rebuilt with high performance parts, and 4.11 gears in the rear. I want the 2004r because there is less drop in rpms between shifts. Is that trans strong enough to handle that motor if it is rebuilt properly? Does anyone have any idea what this combo would run in the quarter on street tires? On slicks? I was thinking high 12's. I've seen a lot of people on the forum running ZZ4s and hotcams. Is the hotcam really all that great? Are the fastburn heads that good? or should I get some AFR heads?
