Hooker header exhaust kit
Does anyone have any experience installing the Hooker header-back Corvette exhaust system? Since I have Hooker headers I'm hoping it will work so I can replace the crush bent system the local shop installed for me a couple of years ago. The system on it now looks pretty amateurish and my rear spring actually hits it occasionally. The Hooker setup looks pretty good. Any experience, help, tips appreciated.

although no one mentions them much, i was told a few years ago that the hooker mufflers sounded very well and flowed the best. i thin you would be happy with them.

I have the old-style crossmember ready to bolt in. The kit arrived yesterday and looks pretty good in the box. I was just wanting to hear if anyone had experience installing it. The kit didn't have mufflers with it so I have Magnaflow clones to go on it. I started removing the old system today. Too bad my SawZall is at my son's house or I would just chop it up.

I have a complete hooker headers to tailpipe on my 2002 camero.The fit was good, easy install.Only complaint was the headers were hot jet coated but changed color after one year.sound is loud at wot.i would buy them again.

I have the Hooker system on my '81. The cross member had to be modified to fit for one side to fit. The pipes are only 2.25 inches. The mufflers are very quiet. That being said... all in all I think it was a great kit to use for the price.

The pipes side to side are slightly different. The instructions show where each pipe goes but there seems to be no part numbers on the pipes so it looks like trial and error will be the way to figure it out. My kit had no mufflers, just pipes and attaching hardware. I ordered mufflers separately. Mandrel bent 2.25 looks better than the crush bent set I pulled off it. By a long shot.
