c-3 brake squeaking
I have a 71 with a noise in the left rear...isolated to the brakes....it has been updated with o ring calipers...had a noise all the time that follows wheel speed...I isolated it to the brake caliper...pulled the caliper and cleaned the brake pads...put some duct tape on the back of the pads...now the noise is a squeak that still changes with wheel speed...soon as you apply the brakes at all ,,, the squeak goes away!!..Pads are organic,,and plenty left.....rotor is rather shiny,,but others are the same.....Could the caliper be hanging??...Maybe have the rotor machined ????...Probablly not a safety issue,, but sure hate the noise,,any ideas????? Thank You

I've got the same thing going on and am under the impression that it's likely caused by the rotors needing to be lathed while on the car. I just haven't had the time or money to get it in to a shop to have that service done yet so I'll have to wait and find out.

live with it. nothing mechanically wrong.. probably hot spots on your rotors or dirt/dust embedded in your pads. if you have to resolve the problem then scuff your pads and rotors with sandpaper. if still have the issue then replace rotors and pads.

Check your rotor run out. If out of spec, you can buy run out correction plates to correct it.
Check that your emerbency brake is not dragging. Does the noise stop when applying the em brake while moving?

All good advice.
Another suggestion is pad glazing. Try replacing the rear pads only.
A properly set up and functioning C3 brake system should perform just like any other brake system: stopping on a time, no vibration, squealing etc without any modifications to the system. If it does not, something is amiss somewhere.

Mine (left rear), will squeak like that but only when I apply them. It started happening after I installed the E brake pads on that side (they were missing when I bought the car), so I'm wondering if I didn't screw up and didn't get the rotor back on in the same place
