[QUOTE=vetteguy75;1587300079]Got these from Vette Works. There not TRUE roll bars, but it will hold up the Vette in the event I roll it over.
Very nice looking. Can you better define your comment, "true roll bar"? If they are strong enough to offer support in a rollover event they would seem to be true roll bars. Or, are they really cosmetic and you hope they hold the car up?
That said, I've been working with a local blacksmith to fabricate a roll bar and wonder if these could be modified to offer more support. For example, it seems a cross bar could be added just below the decklid for better reinforcement as well as a bar diagonally across each hoop.

Is that a Shark Bar?
If so,not a roll bar at all. Mostly a seat belt attachment point and for looks. I don't think that bar would pass any accredited tech inspection.
Search this site and you will find some bolt in bars/kits that will be of some help, but a true roll bar is fairly extensive and intrusive.

A "true roll" bar is NHRA approved and can with stand the vehicle flips and rolls. But these aren't true roll bars. They are not welded to the frame, but they are attached to the sub-frame and can with stand a simple roll over. As you know, being this is a convertible, there is NO SUPPORT if the car ever rolled over (say from a collision), with these bars installed, it will keep the car from collapsing on itself. I should have enough time to get out from under the car.

Without a third member to that roll bar , going front to back (look at what they do with the Cobra's), I would not be relying on that to support the car during a roll over.
It would be highly unlikely a roll over would have no forward or backward motion, and without that additional brace, it would simply fold in the direction of travel.
