I should be listening to my own avitar, timeslip was put in my photobucket years ago, I have nothing to prove to anyone here that's why I don't post much anymore. I am much faster and quicker now but don't need to brag about knocking off 1/10th sec ever other week like some BM's.

If I were to call someone out I would man up and say sorry, this is one of the reasons I document everything, I doubt any particular forum member is going to do that though.

Wayne, those of us who have been around here for a long time will say that you have nothing to prove to anyone. It's just noise and not worth it, forum p'ing matches just lead to excellent ppl like yourself getting frustrated and leave.

Well you will never get the point across to all, the saying "WHEN THE GREEN FLAG DROPS THE BULLS=== STOPS" is something some will never get and so what, they are A=='s.

Oh for the heck of it I really can't see the numbers on your time ticket, would you post them or just IM me with them just for info? Thanks, and do hang around!!!!

I'd personally appreciate being able to sit down over a few, and pick your brain about mechanics.

12.11 is getting it. I'm sure that if you could hook that it would be mid elevens given that 600 ft/lbs through a manual gear box probably doesn't hook up well. The only reason I asked about the thread is that I'm interested in the perfomance of all c-3's from stock to full blown ajrotham 10 sec bad asses and given that most everyones vette is faster than my 12.75 sec vette I learn alot from the folks that fit the same gear head mentality. I don't think that the original post in this thread was aimed at me but if it was sorry that you took me asking about this thread that that way, I wish the c3 tech and performance had more threads like this. Your vette has been inspirational to those of us on the quest for power, look at paul's 427" it will also serve as an inspiration to the members of the forum such as my self that can't leave well enough alone and have to make things better or faster or as we've been called "MOAR POWER CROWD". I for one enjoy your input and value you as a member as well as the guy that turns 15.8's in a bone stock c3, with this being said, I'm still interested in what your doing to your vette. It was 6-8 months ago when you posted a thread stating that you were going to make changes to your vette and in doing so you were working toward being able plant the power to the ground that your 427" makes, that your vette deserved it. So since you started the "Motorhead Performance" thread can you share a little on your plans/ progress? Thanks for sharing.

I suppose I'm the one that got this started.

I posted the following over in Paul's thread.

I quoted Wayne:

I responded:

My comment was not intended to offend anyone. It was intended as a little friendly ribbing.

Wayne, If you are taking this as a call out, you know how to reach me. Just contact me and we can set it up.

something tells me its BK broiler or something like that. Called him some kind of dyno only person lol.

Wayne's advice on car weight issues is kind of different from most. He says cut down on the twinkies.

Ah..... Makes sense... A perfectly placed "call out" by you might I add...

I have an 8 sec street bike and low 9 sec street bike that beg to differ to the comment in bold above...

I like Motorhead tho.. he's been around here a long time and helped a lot of people.......Maybe he just gets "froggy" from time to time...

I'm pretty sure I was the one who pushed him over the edge with my "dyno racer" comment. Anybody who claims to be able to beat any street driven car or BIKE on a dragstrip and has nothing better than a crusty old 13.11 timeslip as backup deserves to get some flack. But really, I think he's a little overly sensitive.

Isn't there a soap opera section for this?
Why is it here?
I know I don't have to read it, but it's here! (in the wrong section)

There are a lot of overly sensitive people on this forum. From the amount of power their car has, to buying cheap parts from China, (A lot of major parts come from China), to who has chrome bumpers , or where the distributor is set right and on and on. I don't understand why this makes so much difference to some of the people. And to make matters worse, most (not all ) don't really care. I believe the hobby has come to the
who can keep up with the Jones and tends to take some of the fun out of it. know this takes some of the thrill away from some but just try and enjoy the car and not what someone else is driving. I am at a time in my life where I could buy a new c7 or get a chrome bumper C3 built where it would out run anything produced in that efra up to now but for some reason, it doesn't make much difference.
Enjoy your ride,
Bill
