Tacho Problems
I have purchased a 1796 corvette here in Australia and was wondering if you could point me in the right direction please.
I have this problem with some gauges in my car; I only just purchased it a few months back and looking for advice in some areas for repairs etc.
My problem is this, if you look at the photos attached you will have a better understanding of my problem.
• Tacho has never worked and stayed in that position since I purchased it, nothing changes if the car is running or battery disconnected.
• For whatever reason this MSD has been installed, I spoken to one auto electrician who doesn't know much about these and even suggested it might not be compatible with the tacho.
• Problem I have it’s from a deceased estate so I can’t even go back to the original owner to ask the question as I believe he played with the car.
Any direction or advise you could offer be greatly appreciated
Thanks for reading
Yes..it is probable that NO power is getting to the tach. But unless it is disconnected..if your gauges are working...it should have power because it is getting power from the gauges fuse.
Take you time getting the tach out...it is not an easy feat. BE careful....because if you force things too much...you can easily beak your speedo/tach housings.
