Wat row !!! My key is on the steering column! It's activating a metal rod on top that goes down the top of column ! Bought the 68 not running! It's ready to turn over! And this is where I'm stuck ! Wrong column? Is there any pics or links for the correct hookup ?

A 68 has the ignition switch in the dash, I think. Not on the column. Sounds like the previous owner made some "modifications".
