Wanted to post to this thread and share what has transpired since last September. I'll make it brief. Turned out being my vacuum relays. Had replaced all the vacuum lines from the filter forward and while I had the hoses to the front disconnected, I started the car and began checking other lines. When I plugged the vacuum line to the intake, the car immediately began running much smoother. Unplugged it, plugged it several times and could not believe the difference. First checked the actuators, checked out OK. Then pulled off both relays, did two different tests from information I found on the forum. (so greatful for the knowledgable members her and their informative postings) Relays failed both tests. At first I thought it may have been the way I tested them so I tested both again, same result. Was going to try to rebuild the relays but tore up the rubber dumbell shaped part inside not understanding the directions. May post a "what not to do" when rebuilding vacuum relays. ;-)
Ordered two relays form Corvette Central last Monday, they arrived Wednesday. Tested both Thursday just to make sure they worked properly as that was a good suggestion I got on the forum. Both tested good, put them on Friday. Passenger side goes up a little slower than the driver's side but both close in a half second. Took the car out today and she's running great. May have to fine tune the carb as it was adjusted when there was still the small leak. It took quite a while to discover the sourse of the problem but hopefully this project is done.
Thanks to all for suggestions, hope this helps someone in the future.
