Installing side vents 81 C3
The side ac and heat vents in my 81 are in need of replacing. How difficult are they to replace? Does it require a dash removal to a point? Or do they pop out fairly easily. Always appreciate the expertise here.

I'll add to Mikes picture and post.. When you go back together be careful not to strip out the holes in the dash pad. If you though, all is not lost. Find some plastic fusion or plastic weld and you can repair them easy. The trick with holes behind the dash pad is to fill the hole with the fusion, and then put the screw in while it is soft.
