I asked my builder who did the short block last spring of my L-82 now a 355 about solid motor mounts instead of rubber (I have the speedirect bar) and he strongly advised against using solid motor mounts---lots of vibrations would come through the frame. I went rubber...glad I did the motor feels very smooth and well balanced at high rpm.

oh i know about the vibration issue I've had several cars with solid mounts, I'm just wondering if it would stiffen the frame enough to make it an additional advantage.
